New website

2012-09-11

Following the completion of our brand new website I am very excited to be sat here writing our first news feed. The website went live yesterday and was developed through Edge of the Web, a company and in particular Tom Valaitis I have known for many years. I would like to again take the opportunity to thank Tom and his team for the first class job they have done in a short period of time. If you are considering a website please take a look at www.edgeoftheweb.co.uk to see how they can help you.

In general August was a quieter month which is natural as so many people take there annual holiday. It was therefore nice to catch up on more of the admin jobs in between clients requirements including the development of the website. Vanessa managed to get away for a week to Italy to see family which she really enjoyed.

So now we have entered September I thought I would post a reminder of some information and key dates for your diary as you all get back into the swing of things:

Link to the key tax deadlines: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/agents/tax-deadlines.pdf

Link to VAT changes being introduced from 1st October 2012 following the 2012 budget: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/briefs/vat/brief2712.htm

It is also worth making a note that following a press release on the 6th September audit exemptions are to be extended from the 1st Octobet 2012, please see following link: http://www.accountingweb.co.uk/article/audit-exemptions-be-extended-1-october/531302

On a personal note my sister for a third year running is taking on a challenge for a local charity our family have alot of input into. This coming Saturday she is attempting to climb Mount Snowdon and I would be very grateful if you were to take a few minutes to have a look at the following link. Any extra support you can give her would be very much appreciated. www.justgiving.com/partnersbigwalk

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to say what a wonderful summer of sport it has been with the Olympics and Paralympics. A massive success and has been wonderful to watch. Also many congratulations to Andy Murray who won his first grand slam last night.
